|Explore the Last Frontier in style! With a quality rental from Bayes Boat
Rental, YOU become the Captain of either our 22' Hewescraft SeaRunner, or
22' SeaSport Sportsman Limited!
Based in Homer, Alaska(the Halibut Capital of the World), our rental options
allow nearly infinite choice and flexibility in the planning of your Alaskan
vacation. Whether you're an Alaskan looking for a freezer full of halibut(boat
renters are NOT subject to the same halibut limits as persons fishing aboard
charter boats), or a visitor looking to explore the state, our dependable Vessels
are ready and willing to take you there!
When compared to the price of a charter, or owning your own boat, the rental
boat option is quite affordable! With charters commonly charging $300 or
more per person(and towing from Anchorage being an almost 500 mile
roundtrip), renting is a cost-effective and EASY way to get out on the water.
Each Vessel is moored in a permanent slip at the Homer Harbor, which
eliminates the hassle, time, and expense of towing and launching. Each
Vessel comes standard with a safety and equipment orientation, safety and
navigation equipment, fishing equipment(rods, reels, downriggers, and
sinkers), and tips on how and where to fish!
Drawing upon a lifetime of experience fishing the waters out of Homer,
owner(and charter Captain) David Bayes and his experienced team have
set-out to outfit each Vessel with everything needed for a successful day on the
water. Our professionally-outfitted Vessels allow a customer to show up to
the Vessel with nothing more than terminal tackle, bait, and personal items,
and step aboard a platform which is FULLY equipped for a day on the water.
Since our Vessels are rigged and ready, and are permanently berthed in the
water, we have even converted many current Alaskan boat owners to using
our equipment instead of their own!
Bayes Boat Rental recommends that all renters complete a Boater's Education
course. A free Boater's Ed course may taken on-line at the following site:
